Beyoncé's Photo of Her Twins Sent the Beyhive Into a Frenzy

Posted July 15, 2017

Reports emerged about the twins birth in June, but the singer and her rapper husband remained quiet. Several weeks later the names "Rumi Carter" and "Sir Carter" were registered as trademarks with United States authorities.

The pop star released the pictures on her Instagram page and also confirmed the names of the twins, Sir Carter and Rumi.

On Instagram, she posted Beyoncé's portrait with the caption, "hello Sir Carter and Rumi Carter", which Refinery29 argues is definitive proof that Sir's full name is just Sir Carter.

Fans and followers had been on their toes since her pregnancy announcement on February 1, 2017.

The mother of three was pictured standing barefoot in front of a floral archway with the twins draped in a purple sheet, while she is wearing a blue veil.

That said, some of those who saw the first official photo of Beyonce's twins were left baffled by one tiny detail: her belly - the seeming flatness of her belly in the photo, to be exact.

"WE WILL REFER TO KING #1 BY HIS COMPLETE NAME, SIR CARTER", wrote one very excited fan.

Jay Z reportedly registered two trademarks "Rumi Carter" and "Sir Carter" in the days after the birth.
