Patty Jenkins Comments If Chris Pine Can Return To Wonder Woman 2

Posted June 08, 2017

The most anticipated film Wonder Woman has opened this weekend in the cinema theaters. Diana is a warrior, but she is empathetic.

Leading up to Wonder Woman's release, the project dealt with a lot of flak simply because of the gender of both its director and star. Now that Gal Gadot and Chris Pine are committed to a sequel, all we can do now is continue to fight for more films like Wonder Woman, where representation and breaking of genre stereotypes can mean audience interest, and maybe even huge success.

Escape artists weren't uncommon during this era of history, so the character may just be set dressing.

The escape artist on the dock is probably not the best known Mister Miracle, Scott Free, the son of Highfather, ruler of New Genesis.

"Justice League" is expected to premiere in theaters later this year, right before the holiday season, on November 17. Perhaps that is who Diana encounters on the London dock.

In a recent interview with Los Angeles Times, Gadot, Nielsen as well as Robin Wright, who played General Antiope, chatted about the future of the Amazons in the DC Extended Universe.

"On close-up I looked very much like Wonder Woman", Gadot said. Wonder Woman had a $100.5 million debut, making it (by leaps and bounds) the biggest opening for a film directed by a woman in the history of cinema. The lineup of characters is headed by Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) as they travel the world, recruiting a few more pieces for the superhero team, according to the International Business Times. It's also worth mentioning this is a comic book movie and some supernatural elements could occur as well.

"This is a film that's flawless for our time; hopeful and inspiring, as well as a hugely entertaining adventure-it transcends the genre", Warner Bros. Wonder Woman now sits at a 93% with both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. She got her powers back in 1972 after appearing on the cover of Ms. Magazine.

Just like the only DC superhero to be a God is Wonder Woman, she is the only superhero that Warner Bros. dedicated their own site for accessories.
