Google I/O 2017: 'Android O' beta version released

Posted May 25, 2017

This new feature will first appear on Google Assistant and Google Photos but later on, it will be available on other products as well.

"Part of Android's mission is to bring computing to everyone", wrote Dave Burke, Google's VP of Engineering.

With Android O nearing release, it's shocking to know that most devices still run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Will these new updates sway you to give it a try, or are you invested in another AI already? With Google Play App Signing, that's no longer necessary. This is achieved by the introduction of a new vendor interface between the Android OS framework and the vendor implementation.

"Today, hundreds of millions of users are coming online for the first time and, for the majority, their first online experience will be on a smartphone", the book noted.

A small dot will appear on the apps with active notifications. So-called "wise" limits will gauge and control how much battery life your apps are using. As technology prompts users to be more conversational, it also has to get better at participating in these conversations like humans would. The user will be asked to login to their Google account.

The latest downloadable update weighs in at a light 17.88 MB, so you don't have to worry about freeing up any additional space. In the future, we hope to see the Google Assistant paying for the bill or checking out for the Android users. CNBC at night features a mix of new reality programming, CNBC's highly successful series produced exclusively for CNBC and a number of distinctive in-house documentaries. For instance, point the phone at a flower and Assistant will call upon Lens to identify the type of flower. Google also claimed at the Google I/O 2017 event that the phone now reboots twice as fast!
